Philadelphia type brass andirons

Very large and impressive Philadelphia type brass andirons, circa 1820-1830s. This is a massive and finely turned type above scrolling feet. These are very heavy. They have had the rear extension of the iron leg removed to accommodate glass fireplace doors. The brass finish on these is a high polish that has been beautifully done.
