Here is a Boston double Serpentine and blocked end chest that does it all . This is an outstanding bureau of fine proportions with a center ornament at the apron that is very effective with ball and claw feet are of the highest quality . This is a choice example of perfect proportions in very well preserved condition, including period brass rococo bail pulls. No major replacements.

Adding to the rarity of this gem are the blocked ends of the facade which compress the multiple curves. In this case, beauty must come at a price. Consider the number of hours that the craftsman, who made this, spent shaping all elements of this case. Certainly the buyer was a connoisseur of the Chippendale style, as well as being one able to afford this level of elegance. Here, craftmanship has been elevated to an art form.
Ball and claw feet are much sought sought after in 18th century furniture. Importantly, our example has tall, slender, ankles and the fullness of the ball with such well detailed grasping claws puts this in the highest category of its form.
