From a local collection, this English Hepplewhite mahogany sideboard is circa 1785-30. The great old color and patina of the surface has been polished to a wonderful nut brown tone. Correct style ring pull brasses are the second set. The top is serpentine shaped at the front as well as sides and rests on a conforming case of three drawers. Line inlay highlights the legs and drawer fronts above tall slender tapering legs with spade feet. Later Pacific cloth lined drawers will protect your silver. The key is present for the left door.
Use as your dining room sideboard or let your imagination put this in the bedroom as a sleek and expansive dresser.
