English inlaid mahogany Hepplewhite knife and flatware box allows you to display, as well as organize your flatware. The slant lid exterior is above a double serpentine facade which is further decorated with herringbone inlays. The two shield shaped escutcheon plates are silver plated and engraved. When opened, the interior lid again has complex inlay featuring a central compass inlay. Each flatware slot is outlined with inlay. Circ 1785.
