The ancient Greeks and Romans collected antiques and certainly they were not the first to do so. Naturally, mankind has always had an interest in objects of high quality and of historic or artistic merit from previous eras and civilizations. Perceptive people have long accumulated these objects for love of form, history, and beauty.
My focus is to offer here objects that act as functional, beautiful, and artful components of one’s home or work environment.
If travel is part of your routine, your home should always be a place to return to that warms and welcomes you on your return. Fine antiques and art used for an entire interior or even as the gems of a more eclectic home give the sense of uniqueness, and further, calm the mind and entertain the eye. With careful collecting and design, this should be your special place, unique to you as the owner, and loved by you for the emotional feelings of calm, contentment, and familiarity. Our goal is to continue to provide an offering of art and antiques that become the jewels of your rooms and objects of increasing emotional appreciation.
Creating a fine interior need not be dominated by a time frame. Most beautiful rooms are created in stages as the pieces are discovered. Although the special things you seek may not be always easily available, we continue to maintain an actively changing inventory of fine objects to tempt your good taste. Our specialties include 17th, 18th, and 19th century American, English, and Continental furniture and objects. Our interest in oriental rugs and art broadens into 20th-century material. With my forty years in pursuit of fine antiques, I can offer in-depth knowledge to your advantage. Please contact me with your needs and requests for a prompt response.
