Small English Drum Table from the Early 1800s

Drum table top view Drum table

A rarity in drum tables, this smaller example is in satinwood with a drawers outlined in mahogany. The stem is glued of three pieces reflecting the lack of availability of satinwood in heavy stock. The saber legs are each inlaid with an arrow design in mahogany and terminate in handsome cast brass lion’s paw feet.. Recent embossed leather at the top is in solid order with some scuffs. Most stylish as a lamp table in your study.
