Rare pair of English Chippendale walnut corner chairs in old finish with slip seats. Also referred to as “roundabout chairs”. These can work beautifully for extra pull up seating in the living room. Also, a single chair is a great answer as a desk chair, as one can get up from the desk without having to lift the chair. An interesting design with a so-called sawn back and scrolled arms that are above pierced splats and a stretcher formed base. Circa 1760. Extremely rare, as they are the only pair of corner chairs that I have ever owned.
