A fine Queen Anne type pier mirror, circa 1730-50, with beveled two-section glass. The walnut veneered leafage scroll top is above a gilt shell held by a feathered plume. A molding with a shaped crest and inset gilt leafage surrounds the glass. The upper glass is engraved with a central rosette. Old crack to lower corner glass. This would be an excellent choice in a hallway above a console or lowboy. H. 47″, w. 17.5″ $800.
