Portuguese rococo, pale green painted parcel gilt side chairs mid 18th century. This pair is rich in design and execution, The gilt scrolled crest is above an urn form splat over an older velvet upholstered seat with a pale grcen velvet covered tasseled cushion. The base is beautifully done with a serpentine apron and bold cabriole legs with scroll feet and leafage hips. Stretches are of the flat incurvate type. No major repairs. Layered old surface with great patina.
