Pair of baroque 17th century oak stools in remarkable old painted finishes. Each is in old yellow ochre with each top in a dull red-orange finish. The tops are edged with a broad mold as is manner the late 17th and early 18th century. Baluster turned legs are joined at both the top aprons and at the stretchers, conforming to the demi-lune shapes. Use as benches or small table in a country style room.
H. 24″, w. 14.5″, d. 11″. Hard to find and in an outstanding painted finish, $1650 the pair.
