New England tester bed, circa 1810-20s. Often my collectors want a period bed but insist that it be “king sized”. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, these were generally built in “three quarter” or “full” size. Thus this was professionally changed to king size and done at substantial expense. The excellent result has full heavy rails and a headboard to duplicate the style of the old one. All in lovely old finish. A canopy bed can be the statement in room. A canpy could be added if you like. Note: smaller sizes are available on my website.
H. 63″. $600 complete with bolts and ready to set up.
