A New England Maple Queen Anne highboy circa 1740 to 1790. A deep overhand cornice is above an upper case of two short drawers over three long drawers on a separate base with a long drawer over three short drawers on an arcaded apron supported by tall shapely cabriole legs on well formed pad feet. Proper style brass pulls. All drawers have the thumbnail molded edge. This is an important form in American case furniture and one of my favorites! Various professional minor repairs done long ago. No major repair or alteration.
