I’ve always loved these New England highboys. They are graceful, elegant cases, that, in country form such as this one, carry immense attractiveness and a distinct American look. My most recent purchase is in maple with pine drawer linings. All wood is original and sound with a later finish. The brass is a later set in the correct style for the period.
Above, a complex, deep molded cornice is above five thumbnail molded-edge graduated drawers over a lower case carried by slender curvaceous cabriole legs with substantial pad feet at a scrolled apron. Any repairs are minimal. Ready to place in your home and enjoy. 18th century. H. 74″, w. 38″.
