This powerful pair or neo-classic urns are French of the later 19th century. a bacchanal is the apparent theme with full details of grapes, grape leaves, and putti playing. These are excellent castings with beaded rims on the basese and bowls. The heavy plinths are constructed of black slate outlined with par valance corners. H. 11.5″, w. 6″, d. 6″. $850 the pair.
