A provincial Louis XV period canape’ finished in a walnut brown painted surface with an older but very presentable red silk cover. The graceful arching crest is over cabriole legs. The frame is carved with a molded rim with having floral and leafage details. The down filled loose cushion is bolstered with a synthetic core. Freshly rewebbed seat. French, 18th century.
