Late 18th century Louis XV provincial desk in cylinder front form. In a light fruitwood, all sides and the interior are decorated with dark wood geometric inlays and enhanced with brass pulls. The cylinder lid is convenient for hiding the day’s work and is operated by pulling out the hidden desk surface with pushing upward on the curving lid. The interior is of short drawers and a central compartment over a leather writing surface. Slender cabriole legs support the inlaid case of four drawers. Imperfections.
