Above right, a late 18th century Louis XV petite commode in serpentine form with a conforming brilliantly patterned marble top. Boldly grained walnut veneers are rimmed with banding. The pulls and escutcheons have an old bronzed color. The sabots are tipped with ormolu bronze leafage. Numerous old minor repairs, as expected with this age.
