Remarkable for its fine slender lines, this 19th century Hepplewhite style sewing table is in satinwood. The oval top is bound by rosewood banding which lifts to reveal a compartment for handwork. The case is line inlaid and is supported by slender flaring tapered legs held with incurvate stretchers. Very tasteful as an end table.
