This beautiful hand-tied Persian Seraband carpet has the traditional central field of leaf or pear shapes on a brick colored background with multiple borders having navy, reds, cream, and green tones. This is an early rug, perhaps about 1900 and long ago reduced in length. There are minor flaws and some stiffness. Overall pile is reasonably even with only minor areas to the knots. This type of carpet is referred to as a corridor rug and would be a great fit for a large hallway, gallery, or other long room. It is shown in our sunroom so you can get an idea of size. 6′ 6″ x 15′ 6″ . Call or email for detailed images.
