| George III breakfront bookcase, 18th century. An elegant overhang cornice with stylized dentil details rests over four cupboard doors, each glazed with the so-called “diamond” shaped glass held by molded divisions. The shelves are made for full adjustment to your needs. A recent owner did an extensive job of concealing lights here, which could be again connected and put into service. Stepped below is a lower case of twelve cockbeaded drawers with better construction than money can buy today, each with brass bail pulls. The whole system breaks into three upper sections, three lower, a cornice cap, and a molded foot for convenient transportation whether cross country or through a doorway.
