In this most handsome form of serpentine curves, the case balances well on tall tapered legs ending in spade feet. Each legs is line inlaid upward to inlaid patera or classical bowl forms. The banded panels on the facade hold line inlays filled at corners with satinwood fans. The shading in each fan was accomplished by holding the edge of each tiny piece to a hot sand bed that scotched the wood to give shading. Overall the case is finely constructed and fitted with a removable silver drawer. H.36″ w.72″ d.24.5 . $2900.
