Reflecting the luxury of early 18th century France, this armchair is quite comfortable with its broad stance and raked back. The carved arm supports and cabriole legs with an undulating apron are textbook Regency period of the first quarter of the 1700s. Molded curves are filled with leafage and shells. The floral bittersweet velvet is an older cover in presentable order with some wear and evidence of careful use.
