English Sheraton Games Table, Late 18th Century – SOLD

This exceptional English Sheraton games table, late 18th century, was sold years ago by the prestigious Arthur S. Vernay firm of  New York and London. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Stannard_Vernay
It exhibits the exceptional quality you might expect with a fine finish on banded and line inlaid mahogany. Especially nice are the line inlaid tapered legs ending in brass castors. The top reverses from a plain side to  a chess board and removes to reveal a backgammon board. Leaves drop to each side and a central drawer is below a false drawer.
    H. 29″, d. 24″, w. w/leaves up is 50.25″, leaves down, 30.25″.  A gem with a great provenance, priced at $2400.
