A very special English George III serpentine front chest, late 18th century. In a lovely faded mahogany tone, a finely graining top is banded with contrasting veneers inside a molded edge. Below, a convenient brush slide allows for brushing or folding your best. Each of the cockbeaded graduated drawers is complete with detailed gilt rococo pulls and escutcheons. Please note in the inset image below, the the engaged or stop fluted columns on chamfered corners above tall bracket feet. Brass casters are fitted behind the feet for convenience in moving.
