Solid mahogany with oak supporting woods make this a sturdy example ready to go to work and yet reflect the golden era of furniture making, the 18th century. The lid opens to reveal a pigeonhole interior with later stirrup form pulls. Hinges, lock, and brass pull hardware details are hand done. The bail pulls appear to be the original set. They are in an old brass patina, but polish them if you must. The top drawer was made with compartments, perhaps for accounts. Laptop ready, all work inside the desk is concealed with the closure of the lid.
