English Empire Teapoy, circa 1820-40. All is veneered in exotic rosewood from India. The tapered case has a lid which opens to an interior that formerly had dividers for teas. The hexagonal shaft is on an incurvate base above bun feet. Put it by the front door as a tasteful hidden spot for keys and gloves.
