Elegant neoclassic candlestick pair, England, late 18th or early 19th century in the Adam style. Cut glass candle holders with bobeches hold crystals above a white urn painted with royal blue and gold, mounting a bronze base with water leaves. The white porcelain plinth below is decorated with similar diaperwork in white porcelain with royal blue and gilt. There is normal wear to the gilt overglaze and evidence of previous ball feet. A successfully repaired small crack to one petal is on a drip catch. This is an especially fine pair for your mantel or chest. These are very rare and will not be easily discovered again.
