Continental brass bed, probably French, 19th century.

This is a superb bed and it includes all the fine antique lace, which is pictured in the image on the left. A previous buyer bought the lace on the advice of the renowned Slim Keith. Most bedding is included such as the silk pleated dust ruffle and the cover for what would be a stool at the foot. However, the stool itself is not included. The finials are heavy, seemed brass with canopy arches at each side. Currently disassembled bolts and connecting points are numbered for reassembly. The extensive fabrics included here are generally in good condition, but with imperfections. More images available.

The headboard is a later upholstered addition. The overall size accommodates a queen size mattress.

Overall approximate measurements: H. 105″, l. 84″, w. 63″.

Not to be replicated at many times my price, $850. A fantastic find!
