A canopy bed can give great character to a bedroom. This New England example, circa 1790-1820s still retains a most desirable original old red finish. All posts are beautifully turned in the Sheraton manner. This bed has never been resized and is shown here with a standard full sized mattress (bedding not included) rather squeezed in place. The original canopy frame will need adjusting and tightening before covering with a cloth canopy. This could, of course, be used without a canopy as well.
