Antique New York sideboard with a slender serpentine case, circa 1785. The mahogany is highlighted with wonderful inlays including bellflowers and fan spandrels. Legs are line inlaid, terminating in taper-on-taper feet. This sort of craftmanship took almost endless hours and a commitment to quality. Fine later brasses. Some upper drawers are later lined with “Pacific cloth” to preserve your sterling. Make your dining room sing or use as an elegant large bedroom dresser.
