This antique English “Queen Anne” wing chair is the 1740s+ original. The later damask covering is in a period correct pattern in a pale yellow charming older cover in good order. Bold walnut cabriole legs complete the look. Note the vertically scrolled arms, always a feature of this period.
The curving, enclosing wings were meant to help capture the heat from a warm fireplace and at the same time create a feeling of safety and coziness.
