American tall post bed, circa 1800 to 1820 in the old red finish. Previously purchased from us this was later modified to a king size. Finding this size in the antique is very difficult, so this offers one the rare opportunity of obtaining a king size. The turnings are crisp and well done. Please note that on these early beds the head posts are done with a simpler turning as they were often draped. All work was done to the highest standard with bed bolts used to assemble the side rails.
