Colonial tea table in mahogany Colonial tea table in mahogany

A provincial or perhaps colonial tea table in mahogany, 18th century. Each surface is marked by bold curves, including a serpentine top with porringer corners, serpentine sides, shaped and carved aprons, and cabriole legs with brush feet. Refinished. Minor repairs and shrinkages as expected. The design elements may appear French. However, the wood used here and the provincial design elements could indicate a Caribbean origin.

Height 24 1/2 inches, width 33 inches, depth, 23 1/2 inches.

Exceptionally shapely at $475.
