New England games table, ca. 1820

New England games table, a complement to the sofa, also in mahogany, and of the period about 1810-20’s, is also a Sheraton type piece. The serpentine top has a molded edge with “turret” corners conforming to the shapely case. At center, the apron holds a panel of birds-eye maple veneer with a reeded rim below.
The slender carved and reeded legs are in excellent proportion to the case with rings extending up to the top. The excellent old finish has tones of golden brown mahogany. No major repair, ready to use and display.
H. 29″, w. 36″, d.18″ (closed). $695.
